Match the Pair!

Teach your child about shapes & colors.

This is a matching activity. It's a great way to practice shape identification & Color Identification.


   Each craft stick will have only half of a shape. Teach your kid to match up the stick pair an place them side by side to complete each shape.

Needs:

1.     Even number of craft sticks                    
2.   Markers of different colors                                     

Activity:

•     Place two craft sticks directly next to each other.             
•     Draw a shape on the two sticks. Make sure the shape is equally between the sticks.
•     Repeat the same for all the many shapes with different colors of markers.
•     Have the sticks mixed up.
•     Encourage your child match the sticks to create shapes.                                

If you want, you can extend this activity for  color identification.
Playing games like this, will help your kid to more easily recognize different shapes and colors.
